Welcome to Cherie's Web Page!

2.09.09 Hi there! It's been a while. I just wanted to drop in and give you an update on things. First of all, I'm so excited to announce a new addition to my family. On January 15th around 5:00 a.m., our little 8 pound, 21 inch long Madeline May came into our lives. She is a very sweet baby and we love having another little girl in our home.
On the career front, I've cut way back on the amount of shows I'm doing in the next several months. I will still have events here and there, but not a lot of traveling for several months.
I've been doing a lot of writing, and I have lots of new songs I love, and hope to be able to share them with you on a new album sometime at the end of this year or early next year.
Thank you so much for your continued support! I will keep you posted with info on new songs and performances.

11.22.08 Hey friends, for a limited time I want to offer you a great deal when you order multiple copies of my Christmas album, "Gifts". Right now when you order between ten and nineteen CD's you can get them for $10 each, plus shipping. If you order twenty or more CD's you can get an even better deal at $6 each! To get this deal, you'll need to contact me at callcherie@gmail.com. I'll let you know how you can pay for your order through Pay Pal or by check. (Pay Pal will be faster because I won't have to wait for a check to clear before I can mail the order.) I'll calculate shipping, give you the total and send out your CD's. Please note that you can't get this deal by using the buttons on this website. You need to send me an e-mail at the above mentioned address.

One more thing, don't forget about the show in Portland next Saturday! I'll be performing with Peter Brienholt and Sam Payne. Check out the show dates page for more info!

9.18.08 Hey, check out this link! Author Jason Wright was interviewed by Glenn Beck about his new book, Recovering Charles. I wrote a song for the book, and Jason mentioned me by name on the show! Cool.

9.9.08 Hey folks, I have an exciting announcement. This summer I had the opportunity to write a new song to accompany the latest book release by Jason Wright. He's the New York Times bestselling author of Christmas Jars and The Wednesday Letters. His latest book is called Recovering Charles, and it will be released on September 16th. The song I wrote is called "Love Me if You Can" and you can download it for FREE when you visit www.recoveringcharles.com and sign up for Jason's e-mail list! You can also find out more about the book and the story behind the song. Check it out!!!

8.9.08 Oh, dear friends, can you ever trust me again? It seems like every time I invite you to come and see me at an outdoor gig, things get soggy. Bless you for coming anyway and hanging in there. You rule.

5.23.08 Hey everyone, check out clips from the KSL 5 special I did in April!

5.1.08 Hey everyone, happy May Day! Well I've been writing songs, and I have some new projects in the works that I hope to tell you more about very soon. One thing I'm especially excited about is a song I've been writing that goes along with a book by New York Times best selling author Jason Wright. Ever heard of The Wednesday Letters? The Christmas Jars? If not, check them out! My new song is to go with Jason's new book, Recovering Charles, which will be released this fall.
To find out more about Jason and his books, visit www.jasonfwright.com.
Meanwhile, check out the May events on the Show Dates page. Hope to see you soon!

4.2.08 This just in! You can watch a live video stream of "In Tune: LDS Songwriters Live", (the Cherie Call/Joshua Creek TV special) by logging on to www.ksl.com this Saturday and watching the show at 4:30 pm Mountain Daylight Time! Log on a little early so you can download the media player required by the site.

4.1.08 Hey everyone, no foolin'! I'm going to be on TV this Saturday on KSL 5 at 4:30. Tune in and check it out!
Also, come see me at 6pm on Saturday at the University Mall in Provo at Deseret Book's "Ladies' Night" event!
In some much more sad news, I regret to tell you that the April 12th Columbia, South Carolina Time Out for Women event has been cancelled.
For more info visit www.deseretbook.com/time-out/city?city=Columbia.
Though none of these announcements are jokes, I do wish you all a happy April Fool's Day!

3.3.08 Hey folks, it's been a while! I have some fun things coming up in March and April in Utah, South Carolina, and New Mexico! Check out the Show Dates page for more info.
Hope everyone is finally starting to get some springtime sun!

12.21.07 Merry Christmas everyone!

12.10.07 Hey everyone, it's been great to see you at the Utah shows. I'm excited to head down to AZ this week. See you there!

11.6.07 Hey folks, hope your November has been great so far! It's getting to be that time of year. Apple cider, pumpkin pie, turkey, and pretty soon there will be snow and candy canes and everything else. Also, it's time for some holiday shows, CD's, and sheet music! If you haven't had a chance yet to pick up a copy of my Christmas album, "Gifts", check it out. I think it might be my favorite of all the recordings I've done. You can find it at local LDS bookstores and also online at iTunes, or you can order it from this site. You can also order sheet music for a few of the songs from that album on this site. While we're on that topic, let me clarify a few things that come up sometimes during these orders. When you order sheet music from this site, nothing will be mailed to you. We do not mail any hard copies of sheet music. Instead, when you purchase the music, you click on the provided link and download the music to your computer where you can print it out right there in your office. Take note of this so that you do not wait for weeks for your music to arrive in the mail. It will never come. If you try to download and experience problems, send me a note and I'll e-mail the music to you. Again we do not send hard copies, so if you don't have a printer you will need to keep that in mind and find a friend who will let you use their printer. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but it is the best solution in order for everyone to get their orders on time and at a reasonable price during this very busy season. Thank you for understanding. Speaking even more of sheet music, I've been getting many inquiries for many years about making a songbook or making more sheet music available. I sincerely hoped that this year would be the year to make that happen, but it looks like I will have to get going on it next year. Know that it is a very big priority for me. The combination of motherhood and trying to get our house sold has been very time consuming. But I do promise to post the big news here when I finally get going on the sheet music project. In the meantime, you can find the three Christmas songs here, and there are a few other songs that have been in various songbooks that I can help you find if you are interested. Well, check out the show dates for some upcoming shows. I'm excited to get out and play these Christmas songs again, along with all the other favorites. All the best to you, and I hope to see you soon! By the way, Atlanta folks who came to Time Out last weekend and who are visiting this site for the first time, welcome! I had a blast in Georgia. Please drop me a note.

7.28.07 Hey folks, check out all the shows coming up! Go to the show dates page to see new shows posted for August and September. See you there!!

6.20.07 Hey everyone! I hope you're having a fun summer. I've been having a blast performing at the Time Out for Women conventions. Portland was awesome and I also just got back from the one in Pocatello. That one was especially fun because I got to go with my mother-in-law and seven sisters-in-law. We made matching sparkly blue bracelets. I know, really girly. But that's what those things are all about.
I have another one coming up in Logan in September. I'll post more info about it when it gets closer.

In the meantime, check out these shows coming right up! I'm singing at This is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City this Monday, June 25th, and I'm also singing at the Sandy, Utah Fourth of July celebration this year. Check out the Show Dates page for more info on times locations, tickets, etc. See you there!

5.11.07 Hey folks, it's that time of year again! I'll be playing at the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah at 7 p.m. on May 26th with bluegrass group Lincoln Highway. It will be so fun! I've been brushing up on a little more bluegrass, too. Normally we split the evening but we've been learning more of each other's stuff, so we'll be playing a lot of things together as a group. It's the perfect music for an outdoor show on the lawn. Come see us! But do check the weather. If it rains, there's no plan B!!! We have to cancel if that happens. And those of you who have been fans for a while can testify that this has happened more than once up there.

Oh, and earlier that day I'll be playing at Scandinavian Days in Ephraim, Utah at the Snow College Campus in front of the Noyes Building at 12:15. Once again I'll be with Lincoln Highway. Come see us!

3.04.07 Hi everyone. Thanks to all who came to the Brigham City show. That was so fun! I've never played there before. I'll have to come back soon. I have a couple of shows this month. This weekend, March 10th, I'll be participating in an event called "Time Out For Women" in Reno, Nevada. There will be wonderful, inspirational speakers. I will be the musical guest at this event. If you're in the area and need an extra dose of spirit and fun, come check it out! Visit the Time Out For Women website to find out more and to register for the event. If you can't come to the event, check out the website anyway! There's fun stuff on there. Right now you can read a devotional I wrote about my cute baby. Click here for that. On March 31st I'll be singing and signing CD's at the ZCMI Deseret Bookstore in downtown Salt Lake City. Yes, it's still there! There's a lot of construction going on and I think they're moving soon, but for now it's still in the ZCMI building. This is one of my favorite times of year. Because of LDS General Conference a lot of you come out here to Salt Lake City to visit and it's always fun to meet you at the store. Come say hello from 4-5:30 in the afternoon. There will be other fun authors and singers there, too.

1.24.07 Hey, I want to thank everyone who came out to the CeranAid concert last week. It was a great success. I had a great time with so many other local musicians I admire so much. I had a blast playing "Heart Made of Wind" with Ryan Shupe. How fun!

The Cerans are a wonderful family and were so touched by the kindness of everyone who came. They are still in need of help, so if you did not get a chance to go to the concert but would still like to help out, click here.

It's been nice to be able to kick back a little after such an incredibly busy holiday season. I hope you've had a chance to do the same. I do have a concert coming up on February 23rd in Brigham City with Kirby Heyborne and Jeff Clark. Local humorist Bob Lonsberry will also be there as the MC. It will be a fun night. The show starts at 7:30 at Box Elder High School, located at 380 South 600 West in Brigham City. Tickets are $7 for General Admission and $10 for Reserved Seating. If you buy at the door that price goes up to $8 and $12. To get tickets, visit Kirby Heyborne's website. Proceeds will benefit local libraries. It would be great to see you there.

12.30.06 Hey everyone, thanks for your support this holiday season! What a whirlwind! Just to give you an idea of what my December was like, Joe and Sydney and I got dressed up in the middle of the night, after getting home from a show, and had a friend take a picture of us for our Christmas card in front of the Christmas tree in the hotel lobby where we were staying in one of the cities for the Forgotten Carols.
We still haven't printed or sent them!! I had tons of shows and it was great to see so many of you there.
Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year brings great things.
On a very sad note, there is a local family here in Utah who has experienced a huge loss. A mother and two children in the Ceran family were killed in an accident with a drunk driver earlly Christmas Eve. Many of us in the music community knew them and are hoping to help out with a huge benefit concert at Thanksgiving Point on January 18th. There are huge financial burdens for this family, not to mention the deep emotional trauma. Please come to the show. Every cent goes to them. None of us make a dime, not even the venue.
Check it out at www.likenit.com. If you can't make the show but want to donate to the Ceran family, visit www.ceranfamilyfund.com.

11.29.06 This just in! You can now download my new Christmas album, "Gifts", from iTunes!

11.27.06 Sheet music! Check out the Sheet Music page to purchase and download a few of the new Christmas tunes! Over the next year I hope to have several more songs available. Just a note, I'm hearing that it takes a couple of days to be able to download the file in some cases, if you pay with an e-check and Pay Pal has to wait for the funds to clear. Most of the time, though, you can download instantly. Check it out and let me know if you have any problems. I'm excited about this! I hope you enjoy.

11.20.06 Hi everyone. I'm getting lots of questions about sheet music! "I Just Knew", "One Star", and
"The First Noel" will be available on this site very soon. There's been a slight delay, but look for it sometime this week, probably before Thanskgiving.
Keep checking!

11.10.06 Hey everyone, I have some great news. For all of you out there who have been wanting sheet music to some of my songs, the wait may be getting shorter! In the coming months, I'm hoping to have sheet music for some of my most requested songs available to purchase and download from this website. The first songs you'll be able to find within the next week or so, will be "I Just Knew", "One Star", and Tyler Castleton's cool arrangement of "The First Noel". All of these are songs from my new CD, "Gifts". I'm hoping to make some other songs available, a few at a time, over this next year. There are a few that people regularly ask for. But if you have a burning request, put it in now! In the meantime, there are a few songs you can find in EFY songbooks and "Women of Destiny". Let me know what you're looking for and I can tell you if it's available anywhere. If you're looking for the song "Beautiful", I'm hoping to have it available from this site soon, but I can still get it to you in another way if you need it. Send me a note and I can help you get it. I'm really excited about this! Check back soon! AND, don't forget about the "Gifts" CD release concert on November 17th! See you there.

10.31.06 Hello everyone!

Well, my new Christmas album, "Gifts", is in stores now! You can find it at any Deseret Bookstore, and it should soon also be available in other popular music stores and Wal Mart stores. I'm so excited about this album. If you pick it up, drop me a note and tell me what you think. I'm working on getting it on iTunes, and you will soon be able to listen to clips and order it here as well.

Here's some other great news!
This Saturday, November 4th, I'll be playing at a benefit concert for Shriner's Hospital, along with Sam Payne, Nancy Hanson, and April Meservy. These are all fantastic artists and it's for a great cause. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Tahitian Noni Auditorium in Provo. Tickets are $10 at the door, or $5 if you bring a new t-shirt or sweatpants to donate. (sizes from child's size 4 to adult XXL)
For directions or more information, click on this link.

Don't forget about the CD release concert on the 17th! Visit the Show Dates page for info on that, and all the other great shows coming up. See you there!

10.05.06 First of all I just want to say thanks to all the people who braved the very cold and soggy evening at Sundance for the Peter Breinholt show!! What a night!!! You are real fans. I hope you had fun in spite of the crazy weather!

I have some exciting news!! My new Christmas CD, "Gifts" is due to be released on October 10th. Several stores already have them! I'm currently working on setting it up so you can order copies from this website, and it should be up on iTunes very soon. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, if you can't wait, send me a note and I'll tell you how to get one by mail, or you can also order from www.deseretbook.com.

I've just posted a little info about some upcoming shows in November and December. There will likely be more added, but you can find what we have booked so far by checking out Show Dates.

I'm still kicking back quite a bit this month catching some fun firsts with my sweet little baby girl. She just started smiling, which is so fun!!! I do have one show this month. Ladies, if you live in the Phoenix area, check out Time Out For Women on October 27th and 28th. I'm playing at the Friday night event. You'll probably want to catch the whole convention on both days, it looks like it will be very inspirational. But if you can only make it Friday, I've heard they will sell tickets at the door. I'm not sure of the amount, I'll check on it and get back with you. Meanwhile, if you want to sign up for the whole convention, which I highly recommend, visit www.deseretbook.com. You can find more info there about the whole event.

There's a good chance that other shows will come up this month. Keep checking back.
Thanks for your support!

9.13.06 Hey everyone, this just in! I'll be opening for Peter Breinholt this Friday, September 15th, at his encore Sundance show! He did two shows there last weekend to sold out crowds. Both shows got rave reviews. Many people there said it was the best Peter Breinholt show they've ever seen.
He's celebrating the release of his new CD, "All the Color Green". It's a great CD. I have it and listen to it all the time. Nancy Hanson will also be playing some tunes that night. She's one of my favorite songwriters. You'll have to check it out! For ticket info, visit Peter Breinholt's website.

8.14.06 Hey everyone, I just wanted to announce that our baby girl, Sydney was born on August 10th at about 9:30 a.m. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and she's 20 inches long. She's absoulutely perfect. We're all doing well!

7.28.06 Hi everyone! I just wanted to give you some updates on exciting things. We just finished recording the Christmas album! This was such a fun project to do, and I really love the way it turned out. Now I can't wait till it gets to be closer to Christmas so that everyone can hear it! It will be in stores October 10th, and I'm sure I'll have it available for purchase here on the website quite a bit sooner than that. It's being mastered next week and then it will be replicated.

We had SUCH a fun time recording, and everything came together as if it were just meant to be. We finished ahead of schedule, which I don't think I've ever done. This has been an incredibly hot summer, especially for a woman who is now over 8 months pregnant, but here we were recording songs about Christmas and winter! I guess that's how everyone has to do it if they want the album to be released on time. Even though we're done recording, there's lots to do in order to make it available in stores.

My baby is due in a little over 2 weeks! As you can imagine, I will not be doing shows for several weeks. Keep checking back, though, because I'll post info about the album, the baby, and shows coming up in September and beyond. Thanks for your support!

6.9.06 Hey folks, looks like we're going to try again for the Homestead Resort in Midway a week from today, on Friday June 16th! Come check out this show, from 7-9 p.m. I'm splitting the evening with Geoff Groberg and a fiddle player to be determined. Like I've said before, this is a fun place to spread out a blanket, bring the family, and enjoy some fun music in a beautiful location. And it's free. So, everyone, pray for clear skies, and come out and see us!
To find out how to get to the Homestead, visit their website.

6.6.06 Hello everyone! Check out these June shows.

On June 10th I'll be playing at Art City Days in Springville, Utah! My set starts at 8:30 p.m.
Admission is free. Come down to 50 S. Main and check out all of the fun things going on at the festival. There will be great musicans playing all throughout the day. You can probably also get a treat and go for a carnival ride.

On June 30th I'll be playing at BYU Idaho's Education Week at an awesome concert with Julie deAzevedo and Kenneth Cope. We're playing with a small band. It should be a great night. Kenneth and Julie are both favorite artists of mine. We'll be playing at the Kirkham Auditorium on campus. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $8. For more info, visit the BYU Idaho website.

Come visit the three of us the next day on July 1st, in the BYU Idaho Bookstore from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We'll be there signing CD's.

See you there!

4.24.06 Hey everyone! I have some exciting news. First of all, I'm currently working on a Christmas album that will be coming out at the end of the year. I'm so excited about this! Some of you might be familiar with the "One Star" EP I did a few years back. I'm finally making this into a full length album that you'll be able to find in stores this season. I've been performing the songs for quite a few years at the FM 100 mini concerts and have gotten a lot of requests to make this into a full album. Aslo included on this new album will be the song "Broken Hearts Like Mine", that I played for the very first time last year on FM 100. A lot of you have been looking for the song since then. I've written some more new songs, and we're also going to re-record some of the ones from the EP, and also add a couple of more traditional songs. I'll give you more info on the release date and where you can see Christmas concerts, as those get closer.
Meanwhile, I have another huge piece of news. I'm having a baby girl in August! This will be our first baby and my husband and I couldn't be more thrilled!!!
So, with that in mind, let me tell you about the May shows. You'll probably notice this summer that there aren't quite as many concerts as usual. This year, it's partly due to my recording schedule, and I've also decided to travel quite a bit less as we get closer to the arrival of the baby. Also, in the summer I visit quite a few local girls' camps and youth conferences, which are normally private events that I don't post on this site.
Be assured though that while my family is growing, I will still be creating and performing music. So here's what's happening so far in May.
On May 13th I'll be singing at a special luncheon at the Thanksgiving Point gardens in Lehi, Utah. This is a public event and something I'm guessing would be a fun Mother's Day activity. Dean Hughes, a dear friend of mine and a wonderful author, will be a guest speaker that day as well. One of his most recent books tells the story of a summer he stayed home with the kids while his wife went to work. I'm guessing that he'll relate some of his hilarious experiences at this luncheon. His book is called All Moms Go to Heaven. Visit the show dates page for time and ticket info.
On May 27th I'll be playing at the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah. As always, this is a free concert and it's one of my favorite things to do every summer. I'll be performing with the fantastic bluegrass group Lincoln Highway. They'll be backing me up on some of my tunes, and we'll each play a lot of our own music as well. We'll be out on the big lawn there, playing from 7-9 p.m. Check the weather before you come. If it's raining, we have to cancel. There's no indoor alternative there.
I'm guessing that more May events will pop up, and I'll post them when that happens. But do check out these shows and come and say hi!

4.4.06 Hey folks, here's something cool that's coming up next week! On Thursday, April 13th I'll be playing at a benefit concert for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Paisley, Brandie Frampton, Alex Boye, Providence, and Jenny Jordan Frogley will also be playing, and there will be a very special appearance by Nashville recording artist and motivational speaker Kevin Sharp .
A silent auction with autographed memorabilia from Toby Keith, Sugarland, Little Big Town, Clint Black, Darryl Worley, Karl Malone, and more will occur at 5:30pm when doors open.
The show starts at 6:30 p.m.
We'll be playing at the Huntsman Cancer Institute 6th Floor Auditorium. The address is 2000 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84112.
Tickets are $20, with the money going to cancer research. It would be great to see you there! For more info or to get tickets, click on www.huntsmancancerfoundation.org/event_detail.php?eid=62&cid=1.
Also don't forget about Time Out For Women in Spokane this Saturday, and the show in Oregon on Monday! Check the Show Dates page for more info. See you soon!

3.17.06 Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope everyone is doing well. I have some fun shows coming up! On Friday, March 31st, Michael McLean has invited me to play a few tunes at his show at the beautiful Tuacahn outdoor theater. Visit www.Tuacahn.org for more info. On Saturday, April 1st I'll be playing and signing CD's starting at 5:45 p.m. at the ZCMI Center Deseret Bookstore in downtown Salt Lake as a part of Deseret Book's "Ladies' Night". There are always a lot of fun authors and musicians there. Come drop by and say hello! On Saturday, April 8th I'm so excited to be participating in Deseret Book's "Time Out For Women" event in Spokane, Washington! This is a fun convention for women, and there will be some inspiring speakers and events. Find out more about it at www.deseretbook.com. Just a couple of days later on Monday, April 10th, I'll be doing a show in Portland, Oregon. This will be such a fun event. John Preator of American Idol fame will be opening for me, and I'll be accompanied by the amazing Tyler Castleton on piano and accordion that night. For more info on this show and to order tickets, visit www.jimbandmusic.com. There are also more shows in the works closer to my home in Northern Utah, so I'll keep you all posted as more info on those comes in. Thanks for your support!!

2-9-06 Hey everyone, it's been a while! I hope everyone had wonderful holidays. We spent Christmas in Arizona, which is always a treat for me, since it's my hometown. White Christmases are the classic, but home to me will always be oranges and palm trees. Anyway, I'm still solidifying the details on some upcoming shows, but I do have one coming up in March that I'm excited to tell you about. On March 4th I'll be playing at a benefit concert at Payson High School. The show starts at 7:00pm. The address is 1050 South Main Street in Payson, Utah. Admission is $5. I'll be performing that night with Lincoln Highway and some other folk music performers from BYU. Proceeds will benefit the Pasyon Civic Chorale. They've been invited to sing at Carnegie Hall and they're trying to raise money to get to New York. So if you live in Utah County, come check it out, it should be a fun evening!

12.10.05 Hey everyone, I have some late breaking news about a concert coming right up on December 13th! I'm doing a concert at the Scera Theater in Orem with Nancy Hanson, Debra Fotheringham, Jerrytown, Allred, and Tyler Howell.
It starts at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $5. Tickets are on sale now at the Scera box office, or you can pay at the door. It will be a cool concert. Also, come check out the Alpine Christmas concert on December 16th! Check out the Show Dates page for more info. See you there!

11.22.05 Hey everyone! It's getting to be the holiday season and I have some fun things coming up, as well as some answers to some frequently asked Christmastime Cherie Call questions. Let me give you the Christmas music info first.

If you live in Utah you may be hearing some Christmas songs of mine on several of the local stations. You may be wondering where to find them! Here's the deal. A few years ago I made a 4 song Christmas CD, to be used kind of like a little card or stocking stuffer for family, friends, and a few fans. There were a few copies in stores at the time.
It has the songs One Star, Gifts, This is Peace on Earth, and The First Noel. The actual CD's are pretty much out of print. The best way to get these songs is on iTunes. You'll find these songs there on the "One Star" album when you pull up my info. You can no longer go to a store and buy this CD.

If you are just looking for the song "Gifts", and you need it on CD, (the chorus goes "It was from his heart") and you want a cool mix of several other artists singing Christmas music, you can find that song on a Deseret Book compilation CD called "A Shadow Mountain Christmas". It is not currently available for downloading but you can get it at LDS bookstores or online at www.deseretbook.com. It has several Shadow Mountain artists on it, like Providence, Katherine Nelson, Jericho Road, Brett Raymond, Hilary Weeks, and myself. The version of "Gifts" is a more recent, more energetic version on that CD. My version of The First Noel is also on that CD.

If you don't do any downloading at all and really just want the original four song CD, "One Star", send me an e-mail at cherie@cheriecall.com and if I'm not on the road, I'll rustle one up and send it to you. The CD plus shipping is $6.
I don't post a Pay Pal link to it here on this site because I'm traveling and performing heavily during the holiday season and can't always guarantee that I'll get your copy to you in time for your holiday plans. But drop me a note and I'll see what I can do.

Some of you might be wondering about a mysterious, live version of my song "Holding On" that has Christmas words. I did a seasonal change to a few words to this tune when I was touring with Michael McLean's "The Forgotten Carols" last year as an opening act. I sang that same Christmas version of the song when I played on an FM 100 radio show last year. They play that live performance on the radio all the time now. The only place you can find it is on this year's "FM 100 Christmas" CD.

I think that covers all the Christmas questions. Now here's where you can see me play during December!

On December 1st I'm doing a mini concert on FM 100's morning show here in Utah. Tune in at 8:30 a.m., or come to the ZCMI Center Mall and catch it in person! It's a free concert.

On December 11th my friend Mark Geslison will be putting on what I affectionately call "The Folk Fireside". Every year he does a Christmas fireside consisting of folk and bluegrass Christmas music. It's gotten to be so big that they have it at the Provo Tabernacle now. The fireside starts at 6:30 and will feature the Bonneville Stake Choir, musicians from the Bonneville stake, Steven Showalter of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, Lincoln Highway, and myself.

On December 12th I'm doing another radio mini concert on the Eagle 101.5 in Utah. Tune in at 7:30 a.m. for that one.

On December 16th I'm a part of a very cool event at Timberline Middle School in Alpine at 7:00 p.m. It's a Christmas concert with Jessie Clark Funk, Todd McCabe, April Moriarty, Jim Funk, April Myservy, Fiddlesticks, and myself. For ticket info and the address, check the Show Dates page.

There are one or two other pending events that I will keep you posted on when I find out more!

Also, this year I will once again be playing the role of Sarah in Michael McLean's "The Forgotten Carols". I'm not the opening act this year, but I'm in the play for several of the Utah and Arizona shows. This is a fantastic show. You can catch me singing "Mary Let Me Hold Her Baby" at the Logan, Orem, and Ogden shows, and at the Cottonwood High shows on December 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. I'm also doing the Arizona shows. For more more info on tickets and dates, visit www.deseretbook.com/tickets/fc2005

What a fun and busy time! Come and say "hi" if you come to one of these shows. And have a wonderful holiday season.

11.8.05 Hey everyone, this is just a reminder about the film premiere at Kingsbury Hall tomorrow night on the 9th. It will be cool! Also, I'm doing a benefit concert at the Scera Theater in Orem on November 22nd for the Haven of Hope.
Check out the show dates page for more info on both of these!!

10.28.05 Hey everyone, check out all the new photos, song clips, and lyrics on the site!

10.20.05 Hello friends. I can't believe it's already time for the leaves to change and for things to start getting chilly! It seems like the summer went by so fast. We had a great time in Dallas this month. Thanks to everyone who came to the show! The concert was a lot of fun, and Joe and I had a wonderful road trip. The Boise house concerts were fun, too! Thanks to everyone who helped organize all those events.

I have some fun shows coming up here in Utah. First of all, coming right up, on Tuesday, October 25th, I'm doing a show in Orem at Fat, Dumb and Happy's. It's normally a comedy club, but they have "Acoustic Tuesdays" concerts on Tuesday nights. I'm splitting the evening with the incredible Katie Thompson. You may know her as the lead in Michael McLean's "The Forgotten Carols". She's also a songwriter and she's been living in L.A. playing in lots of clubs around there for the past couple of years, and after this year's Forgotten Carols tour she'll be moving to New York. We're lucky to have her around here in Utah for a few days in between all of this! Each of us will be playing some of our own music, there will be some fun covers, and we'll sing a few tunes together. Come and check it out!
Tickets are $5 at the door. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. Fat Dumb and Happy's is located at 1350 W. 1140 S. in Orem. If you have any questions you can visit www.dbsoundinc.com, or call 866-FAT-DUMB. One more note, normally there's a policy of no one under 18 years old for the comedy club, but it does not apply for Acoustic Tuesdays. Everyone's invited.

On Friday, November 4th, I'm doing a show at the Tahitian Noni Cafe in the Provo Riverwoods area.
It's a free concert. I'll be playing from 7:00-8:30 p.m. This is a brand new concert series. I've heard they have tasty food at the cafe, so come check it out and see what you think.

On Wednesday, November 9th, I'll be playing at the screening of an independent film called "True Fans". The event takes place at Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah campus. It starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $7 at the door or by visiting www.kingsburyhall.com, or by calling 801-581-8516. This will be a very cool event. It's actually a celebration of the release of a new book, also called "True Fans". Filmmaker Dan Austin will be reading a few snippets from his new book, I'll be playing some fun music that I wrote for the film, and the bluegrass group Lincoln Highway will be there backing me up and playing some great music of their own as well. There will be fun special guests and the film itself is very entertaining. It won the audience choice award at the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Both the book and the film tell the story of a trip that Dan Austin, his brother Jared, and his best friend, Clint took, riding their bikes from coast to coast. They started out in L.A. and ended up at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Massachusetts. They brought a basketball with them that they had signed by all of the kind and unique people they met along the way. The ball was enshrined at the Basketball Hall of fame. It's an amazing story. The film is very entertaining, there will also be a screening of the short sequel, True Fans Forever, and now there's also a book that is full of even more great stories from the trip. Come join us at the celebration of the book release. It will be an action packed event. Visit www.truefans.com to find out more about Dan Austin, the films, the book, and this event.

I hope to see you at one of these shows! Thank you everyone for your continued support.

9.12.05 Hello everyone! I have some very fun shows coming up in Idaho, Texas, and Utah, so check these out!

On Friday, September 23rd and Saturday, September 24th, I'm doing some house concerts in Boise, Idaho. If you've never heard of a house concert, here's what it's all about. House concerts are a big thing in the folk music world. They seem to provide the perfect cozy setting for the storytelling that often is a big part of the performance of acoustic music. I always tell people at my concerts to pretend they're in a huge living room. Well, at this show, you don't have to pretend! You really will be in the living room of someone who has been kind enough to host this show.
The address of the Friday event is 2497 N. Morello Ave., Meridian, ID. It's at the home of Shawn and Weeze Beck. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. Seating is very limited so if you're interested in attending, you should RSVP by calling Steve Brown at 208.642.8194.

The Saturday event is at the home of Mike and Christy Tayler. The address is 8425 W. Valley View Drive, Boise, Idaho. This event will start a little after 8:00, so that it does not conflict with the LDS Women's Broadcast that night. We'll try to give people enough time to head over, but we do want to start as close to 8:00 p.m. as we can. Once again, RSVP to Steve Brown on this one as well, 208-642-8194. Guests are encouraged to leave children under 12 years of age at home for both of these house concerts. Admission for each of these events is a suggested donation of $10.

On Saturday, October 1st I'll be singing and signing CD's from 6-8 p.m. at the downtown Salt Lake City ZCMI Center Deseret Bookstore. Admission is free. There will be several musicians and authors there that night. Come check it out!

On Friday, October 7th, I'll be giving a performance in Plano, Texas! This event has been something I've been planning out for a long time and I'm so glad we've finally been able to work out the details. It will be a fun night.

The event will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Plano Centre. The address is 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway, in Plano, Texas. You can find directions to the venue on the Plano Centre website: www.planocentre.com/directions_plano_centre.htm
Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. You can purchase tickets at Moon's Bookstore located at 5925 Forest Lane #1482 in Dallas, or you can send a check to Cherie Call, P.O. Box 1013, Springville, UT 84663. Specify how many tickets you want, and we'll send them to you. All mail orders MUST be postmarked by September 26th, as we will be on the road shortly thereafter and won't be able to fulfill your order after that. If you have any questions about this event, contact Julie Shill at 214-663-0692, or send a note to callcherie@earthlink.net. Texans, tell all your friends about it!

Finally, here's a heads up about a show I'm doing in Orem on Tuesday, October 25th with Katie Thompson.
If you've gone to see Michael McLean's "The Forgotten Carols" sometime over the past few years, you probably remember been completely blown away by Katie's awesome voice, not to mention her acting. She plays the role of Connie Lou. You can check out her website, www.katiethompson.com to learn more about her.
Anyway, Katie normally resides in Los Angeles but she'll be visiting in Utah before she heads out on tour again this year, and she's invited me to share the stage with her at a fun little show at Fat, Dumb and Happy's in Orem. Fat, Dumb and Happy's is normally a comedy club, but they have a concert series called "Acoustic Tuesdays", where they feature local musicians. Katie and I will both be playing our original songs, along with some fun covers. It will be a cool evening. Here's all the info.

Tuesday, October 25th
Cherie Call and Katie Thompson at Fat, Dumb and Happy's
1350 W. 1140 S., Suite 110, Orem, Ut
8 p.m.
Admission is $5 per person.

For more info on Fat, Dumb and Happy's, or Acoustic Tuesdays, visit www.fatdumbandhappys.com.

8.10.05 Hello everyone. I wanted to let you know that I'm playing on August 16-19 at BYU Education Week, along with Michael McLean, Hilary Weeks, Kenneth Cope, and Julie deAzevedo. Our concert starts at 8:00 p.m. each night, in the Pardoe Theater of the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU. If you are going to Education Week, come check it out!

Or come on August 27th to the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah, where I'll be performing solo. Check the Show Dates page for more info. Angela Soffe will be opening for me that night. Hope to see you there!

Also, stay in touch to find out more info about some September shows. I'll be playing another fun show at This is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City on September 9th. I did this a few weeks ago and it was a blast! What a beautiful setting. It was a great audience and we had a lot of fun, so tell your friends and come again!

On September 23rd and 24th I'll be doing some house concerts in Boise, Idaho. More info will be coming soon.

6.29.05 Hello everyone. Well it's been a fun time on and off the road as usual. My husband and I flew out to Boston to do a few shows for a youth group. We had a great time! We got home yesterday. We had kind of an unexpected adventure on our way home when our connecting flight got cancelled and my guitar was temporarily lost. Yipes! But we're home again now, at least for a few days, right? We had a great trip, in spite of it all. Boston, what a great city! And as a public service announcement to all you people who fly with your guitars, stick your name and address all over the case! And take off any old tags. Might as well have a few people learn from my mistakes, eh?

Well, if you'd like to come see a show in Springville or Provo this month, check out the show dates for some great things coming up this weekend!!

Bring the family to see Shrek 2 in the park in Springville on July 1st, and then go to the Freedom Festival in Provo on July 4th to see me do a free concert at the main stage at 6 p.m.! If you were hoping for more notice, come see me give a benefit concert at the Krieger-Ricks building in Springville on July 25th. Check out the Show Dates page for more information on these shows.

Also, I want to let everyone know that all of the Main Street Plaza shows have been cancelled. I apologize to the handful of you who showed up last week to catch a noon show that didn't happen. I've tried to get the word out but did not get the site updated well enough.

So do note that the July 20th show has also been cancelled. I hope everyone's having a fun summer.

6.3.05 Hello everyone! I have some fun news! This first item of news is for all the iTunes fans. I have a new exclusive track you can only find on iTunes! This is a never before released song, called True Love Forever. I wrote it for my husband, Joe, and I sang it at our wedding reception. Check it out! While you're there, you may notice that you can now find all five of my full length albums there, plus my four song Christmas EP, One Star! I'm pretty excited about this.

Another fun thing is that I now am the host of a radio show! There's a brand new station on AM 820. The whole station is for women. I have a show that airs on Sundays at 8 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time. It's a two hour show about inspirational music in Utah. I interview other artists, choirs, songwriters, producers, etc., and I play their music on the show. You can listen in, even if you don't live in Utah. Log on to www.utaham820.com and click on the "listen live" button. My show is called "The Song We Sing". My good friend Hilary Weeks was previously the host. I'm so new to the job that the schedule on the website has not yet been updated to show the change.

Finally, if you get a chance, check out some of these shows. On Friday, June 10th, I'm playing at Brigham Park downtown in Salt Lake City. This is on State Street just across from the Church office building. I play from 8-9 p.m., and it's a free concert. Bring a blanket to spread on the lawn!

The very next day, June 11th, I'm playing from 4-5 p.m. at Art City Days in Springville, UT. This is on Main Street, on the lawn in front of the library and city offices. If you drive into down and go down Main, you just can't miss it. This is another free show.

I'm doing yet ANOTHER free show on June 15th, downtown in Salt Lake City at the Main Street Plaza, at 12 p.m. Bring a sack lunch or an ice cream cone and come listen to a few tunes!

So far, that's what's on the agenda for June. Hope to see you at one of these shows!

5.10.05 LATE BREAKING NEWS!!! I have three more shows coming up soon! I'm excited to return to Cardston, Alberta for a concert on May 20 at 7:30 p.m at the Carriage House Theater. I will be having another concert in Blackfoot, Idaho on Friday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be at the Snake River High School Auditorium at 922 West Highway 39. The next evening, Saturday, May 28, I will be at the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah with Lincoln Highway playing under the stars from 7-9 p.m. Check the weather before you go to make sure we won't get rained out again! These shows are coming up fast and I'd love to see you there.

4.20.05 Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that you can now get my music on iTunes! Cool, eh? This is a great way to get the new CD, "Beneath These Stars", at a great price, without even having to leave the house! Three of my albums are available already, and I'm hoping to get "Taken" and "Heart Made of Wind" onto iTunes within the next couple of weeks. There is also a site called www.ldsaudio.com where you can purchase and download quite a bit of my music. Check it out!

3.22.05 Hey everyone. I hope you're all enjoying these first few days of Spring.

I'm especially excited because today is the official release date of my new CD "Beneath These Stars"! It should be in stores everywhere, and online at www.deseretbook.com.

Also this weekend is the Mesa, Arizona show so I hope to see a lot of you there! As a reminder, it's at the Heritage Academy at 7:30 p.m. The address is 32 S. Center, and tickets are $5 at the door. You can also order tickets in advance by calling 480-830-3742.

I have a lot of new show dates in April to announce. First of all, on April 1st, I will be performing at Tuacahn in St. George, Utah as a part of the "LDS Night of Stars". Michael McLean is the headliner that night, and it will be a fun evening of music with Michael and his son Jeff, and also Katie Thompson of Forgotten Carols fame, John Batdorf, and myself. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $12.50. To find out more information, go to www.tuacahn.org and click on "tickets".

On April 2nd I'm singing at the downtown ZCMI Center Deseret Book in Salt Lake City for "Ladies' Night" from 6-8 p.m. I will be switching off with Hilary Weeks that night, signing CD's and singing.

On April 21st I am teaching a basic songwriting workshop for the Institute of American Music. It will start at 7:00 p.m. in room 201 of the Provo Library. This is the current library, which used to be the old BYU Academy. This is a free workshop. To find out more about the Institute of American Music, visit www.instituteofamericanmusic.com.

On April 28th I'm singing at the BYU Women's Conference with several other wonderful LDS artists. I'll post more information when I get it.

On April 29th, I'm having a concert to celebrate the release of my new CD. This will be a great show. I'll be accompanied that night by Tyler Castleton on piano, and Rich Dixon on guitar. We'll be playing lots of new music, along with a few old favorites too. This concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Provo Arts Center, 425 W. Center in Provo, Utah, and tickets are $5 at the door.

I hope to see lots of you at all of these events!

3.10.05 Breaking news! The new Cherie Call album, Beneath These Stars, is in stores ahead of schedule! If you want to check to see if it's available at a store near you, click on this link:

Deseret Book - in stock locally

You can also order it online at deseretbook.com.

2.17.05 This is a quick note to say that the songwriting workshop for the Institute of American Music which was scheduled for Thursday, February 24 has been postponed due to a scheduling mishap. We've rescheduled for April 21. I will give you more info when it gets closer. The NSAI workshop on Wednesday, February 23rd is still on! See you there.

2.10.05 Hello everyone! I'm excited to announce that WE'RE FINISHED RECORDING!!! The new album, "Beneath These Stars", will be in stores on March 22nd! I'm so excited about these new songs, and I love the way that everything has turned out. I can't wait for everyone to hear it!

I also want to spread the word about a few fun events coming up in Salt Lake City, Logan, and Provo, Utah, and in Mesa, Arizona.

First of all, come to the ZCMI Mall in Salt Lake City tomorrow, February 11th, and visit me at the Deseret Book store where I'll be singing and signing CD's from 12-2 pm.

If you live near Logan, head over to the LDS Institute Building on the campus of Utah State on February 18th and check out my concert there at 8:00 p.m.

I will be teaching two different songwriting workshops this month. The first one is for the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) Utah chapter on Wednesday, February 23rd at 7:00 p.m. In Salt Lake. I'll be talking about getting song ideas, writing lyrics, and a little about the local Utah music scene. Also, after my presentation, as they usually do at these meetings, there will be song sharing. If you'd like to get feedback on your latest new creation, bring your guitar, tape, or whatever you need to play your song, along with 10 lyric sheets. The directions to the building where we are meeting are as follows. Take the 9000S. exit off of the 1-15. Turn West then take your first left onto 500W. Go down to 9400S. turn right (or West) and turn into the first parking lot entrance on your right then take the first left (headed West) into a little parking lot section in front of a building. We will be meeting in Ste. D. One of the other suites has a sign over it for "Keepsake Corner". If you see that sign you'll know you are at the right building. It's not hard to find. If you want more information about NSAI or other details on what it costs to be a member, or if it costs anything to come just for this workshop, contact Julie at djkeyser@worldnet.att.net

I'm doing another workshop for the Institute of American Music in Provo, Utah on the very next night, February 24, Thursday. This one will be dealing more specifically with basic principles of songwriting, as most of the people who attend will be relatively new at writing songs. Most are folk and bluegrass musicians, but all who might be interested in this topic are welcome. I'll be talking about song form, lyric writing, and getting ideas. This workshop is free, though I'm sure that donations to the IAM are never turned down if you should feel so inclined. If you want to attend this one, come see us at the Provo Library (the actual current one, which used to be the old BYU Academy) in room 201 at 7:00 p.m. Visit www.instituteofamericanmusic.com for more info about the organization sponsoring this event.

Finally, I want to let all the Arizona folks know some more information about the March 25th concert. The venue seats slightly less than 300 people. Tickets will still be sold at the door, but if you would like to reserve tickets in advance, you are welcome to call 480-830-3742. The best time to reach someone is in the evening, but you can also leave a message and someone will call you back to take your order. I'm so excited to go visit my hometown to do a show! Visit the Show Dates section for more info on location and time.

I hope everyone's doing well, and that you're still fired up about your New Year's resolutions. Or if not, hopefully you've at least enjoyed some really super delicious desserts instead. That's kind of where I'm at right now. I guess I'd better head back to the gym!

1.10.05 Hello everyone. I now have the details on the Mesa, AZ concert. I will be singing on Friday, March 25th at 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Academy located at 32 S. Center St. in Mesa. Tickets are $5 at the door. Tell your friends!

12.29.04 Happy Holidays! I hope everyone had a fun Christmas. For anyone in the Northern Utah area who is looking for something to do on New Year's Eve, here's an idea. I'm playing at the Tabernacle on Temple Square as a part of First Night. I'm one of several LDS artists putting on a show there for the youth, as a part of First Night. The show starts at 9 p.m. and goes to 11:30. The other performers that night will be Providence, Jessie Clark Funk, Colors, Voice Male, Hilary Dodd, Aaron Karr, and Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. Come check it out!

Later on in January I'll be doing a benefit concert for the Kimber Academy. It will be on Friday, January 14th at 7 p.m. at the Oak Canyon Jr. High Auditorium. That's located off 2000 N. and 100 W. Orem in Lindon, Utah. Tickets are $7 at the door, but if you call 434-9237 before January 6th, you can get a discount. $5 per person or $25 per family (they have to be immediate family members.) You can also e-mail ticket requests to orem@kimberacademy.net. Visit www.kimberacademy.net to find out more about what Kimber Academy of Orem is all about.

One more thing, keep checking back for more info about my March 26th concert in Mesa, AZ at the Heritage Academy in downtown Mesa.

11.4.04 Hello everyone! Here's the latest news for shows in November and December. I'm so excited to be touring with Michael McLean's Forgotten Carols this year! I am the opening act for the show, and I'm also playing a small part in the play. This is a really wonderful show that will truly get you into the spirit of Christmas. I've seen it many times and it still is just as fun and as powerful as the first time I saw it. So come check it out! We'll be doing shows all through November and December. Most of the shows are in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. To get a complete listing of dates and locations, and to buy tickets, visit deseretbook.com/tickets/fc2004. Please note that I will not be opening at the Hawaii and Denver shows. But do go see the shows anyway! If you have any questions feel free to send me a note.

Because of this busy touring schedule, I only have two other shows during this holiday season. On December 8th I will be giving a mini concert on KSFI FM 100 here in Utah. Tune in from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. This is another one of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season. If you want to see the mini concert in person, come to the ZCMI Center courtyard in downtown Salt Lake City.

On December 11, I'll be singing and signing CD's at the Sugarhouse Hogi Yogi in Salt Lake City, UT at 3:30 p.m. Stop by, listen to some music, and get a sandwich. In fact, if you donate to Toys for Tots or the Utah Food Bank while you're there, you can get $1.00 off the price of your sandwich that day. The address is 2274 S. 1300 E.

Some of you have been asking me about the new album. Here's the latest news. We have already begun recording, and we should be finished sometime in January. The album could hit some store shelves by mid March. The official release date is scheduled for the first weekend in April. I'll keep you posted!

Have a fun November and December. I'd love to see you at some shows.

9.28.04 This just in! I'll be in the Boston area on October 9, performing from 12-3 p.m. at the Lynnfield LDS church building. The address is 400 Essex Street in Lynnfield, MA. This is a part of the annual Apple Festival they have there, so there should be plenty of caramel apples and such. It's a public event, and admission is free. If you need directions or more information, call 978-594-0033 or 978-979-8846.

9.28.04 Check out these October shows!
On October 1, I'll be playing at a benefit concert with Debra Fotheringham and Silver City Pink. Tickets are $10 or two for $15. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Centre Stage at the UVSC Student Center in Orem, UT. The concert is in memory of a UVSC employee who recently died of cancer.
On October 2, I'll be singing at the ZCMI Center Deseret Bookstore in downtown Salt Lake City from about 5:45 till 8:00 p.m., switching off with Julie deAzevedo. This is Deseret Book's Ladies' Night event that they always do in conjunction with the LDS General Conference. It's a free event, so come check it out.
On October 15 I'll be in Dallas, TX, performing at an LDS singles convention. I've been told that even if you are not over 30 and single, you can still get a ticket to the concert. For more information, or to get tickets, visit www.dfwldssingles.com. See you there!

9.6.04 Hey everyone. Though the circumstances were beyond my control, I just want to say that I'm sorry about the Homestead concert getting cancelled last Saturday. It was an outdoor event, and it was raining very hard when we got there. The decision to cancel was made by the Homestead staff when they could see that even if it stopped raining, the lawn would be too wet for blankets. All of their indoor facilities were booked for weddings that night. By the time we got the news, it was too late to send a message to the fan list. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience it might have caused to anyone who made the trip out there and had to turn around. I hope I can still see you all on another night, with clearer skies, or at an indoor venue near you.

8.27.04 This just in! I'll be performing at the Ogden Amphitheater on the corner of 25th Street and Washington on September 3rd at a benefit concert with Bill Stokes and Greg Simpson. All the proceeds from ticket sales go to benefit the new Christmas Box House in Ogden. Tickets are available through Smith Tix. Admission is $7.50 for general admission, and $10 for reserved seating. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00.

8.26.04 I've got some September shows coming up! On September 3rd, I'll be singing at Swiss Days in Midway, UT. My performance starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Town Square. The festival is free, but you'll want to visit some of the vendors at the booths for some crafts and tasty food.

On Saturday, September 4, I'll be in Midway again, doing a free concert at the Homestead Resort from 7-9 p.m. I'll be splitting the evening with a wonderful bluegrass group, Lincoln Highway. Come check it out!

On Saturday, September 11th, I'll be opening for John Schmidt at the Thanksgiving Point Waterfall Amphitheater in Lehi, UT. I'm playing for about 20 minutes before his concert. He's fun to see. It's beautiful new age piano mixed in with plenty of crazy antics. Tickets are $8, and the show starts at 7:30.

See you there!

8.10.04 Hello friends! Here are some more show dates for August! First of all, I'm doing a very special benefit concert with Nancy Hanson and Cori Connors at the Town Hall in Midway on Wednesday, August 18th. Nancy and Cori are both incredible, so even if you've seen me a million times, you'll still want to catch this one. Doors open at 6:30, and the concert starts at 7:30. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. All proceeds go to help a family cover the medical bills for Magee Zeiler, an amazing, beautiful young woman who passed away in June from complications after a car accident. Later that week, on August 20, the wonderful bluegrass group Lincoln Highway will be performing at Brigham Park in downtown Salt Lake City. This is just across from the church office building. The concert is from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. and admission is free. I will be jumping on stage to sing a few numbers with them, and I also just love their music and want everyone to go.

The next day, on Saturday, August 21, I will be doing a 2 hour concert with Lincoln Highway at the American Fork Amphitheater. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free. We'll be singing a few numbers together on stage and then splitting up the evening with our own songs. If you want to know more about Lincoln Highway, visit their website at www.lincolnhighwaymusic.com. Just to give you a bit of fun info, these are the guys who played on my song Pilgrim Go! on the Heart Made of Wind CD. So come and check it out! If you have any questions, drop me a note. I'm still seeking out directions to the place. Thanks!

5.25.04 More June concerts! Check out Show Dates for more details.

5.22.04 Well it's already been a great summer! On May 3rd we had a great time putting on a show in Blackfoot, Idaho. Thanks to everyone who attended and also everyone who helped make it happen. On May 8th I got to play at the Wildflower Music Festival in Richardson, Texas. I had a great time there and met a lot of other great folk musicians.

I'm also excited to announce that I am a finalist in the Kerrville New Folk singer-songwriter competition which takes place on May 29th and 30th in Kerrville, TX. I'm the second artist to take the stage at the competition on May 29th. Wish me luck! For more info about Kerrville and the New Folk Competition, check out www.kerrville-music.com.

I have some new show dates for May and June. On Wednesday, May 26th, I'll be doing a concert in St. George, and on June 19th I'll be playing in Midway, Utah at the Homestead Resort. Check out the Show Dates section for more info on these. Both will be fun outdoor shows, and I'd love to see you there.

Also, one of my fans recently put together this great new Cherie Call fan site! Check out www.cheriecallonline.ldsmusicnews.com.

2.17.04 I'm excited to announce two upcoming concerts! On March 6th I will be in the Portland, Oregon area, doing a concert in the Century High School auditorium in Hillsboro, Oregon. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $8 and tickets are already on sale! To purchase tickets online or to get more information about this concert, visit www.jimbandmusic.com. On March 19th I will be performing in Rexburg, Idaho at the Rexburg Tabernacle on 51 N. Center. Admission is $5 at the door and the concert starts at 7:00. See you there!

9.28.03 Hey everyone! You'll probably notice that we've added a few new things. You can finally see a bit of info about The Ocean In Me in the Order Music section, and there are also a few new pictures. We will be adding song clips and lyrics soon for The Ocean In Me. Meanwhile, let me tell you about a few shows coming up. On October 3rd I will be playing in Salt Lake City at the South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society at 6876 S. 2000 E. (Highland Drive). This concert is part of the Local Concert Series brought to you by the Intermountain Acoustic Music Association. I will be splitting the evening with a delightful Celtic music group called Fiddlesticks. The ticket price is 5 dollars for adults, and children 12 and under are free. Come check it out! The very next day, October 4th, I will be singing and signing cd's from 6-8p.m. at the ZCMI Center Mall's Deseret Bookstore. A few other things; several people have been asking me about sheet music for many of my songs. I am hoping to eventually have sheet music that you can download from the internet for a small price. For now, there are a few of my songs in various EFY or Women of Destiny songbooks, but nowhere else. If you have a question about whether or not a particular song is in print, drop me a note and I'll tell you. One last thing, I'm hoping to do some traveling and performing next year. Tell me if you'd like me to visit your town!

5.5.03 Hey everyone! A lot has happened since I last wrote. The wedding was on April 8th, and it was a wonderful day. I've also still been doing lots of shows with Jericho Road. I wanted to drop a quick note here for all the Idahoans, to tell you all that I will be doing my very own concert at BYU Idaho on May 14th at 7:30 P.M. in the Kirkham Auditorium. Contact the BYUI ticket office to reserve a seat! The tickets are 6 dollars, unless you are a BYUI student, in which case they'd be 2 dollars. Come check it out!

2.3.03 Hello again! It's been a while since I've written, and I have some great news. First of all, I'M GETTING MARRIED! I got engaged just after midnight on New Year's. What a great way to start the year! There's no way to top that piece of news, in my opinion. But I do have another really great piece of news. I will once again be opening for Jericho Road on their upcoming tour!! We'll be performing in Northern and Southern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and of course here in Utah. For complete details, and to get your tickets, check out deseretbook.com.

1.13.02 I was on KSL radio today. Go to Deseret Book to read the transcript.

11.25.02 Hi there. I know, I know. We still haven't put in song clips and new photos. It really has been that busy. But I'm hoping to take care of that soon. Meanwhile, there has been a lot of great stuff going on. Check out the Show Dates page to see some December concert dates and appearances. Also, I want to take a moment right here and now to extend a huge thank-you to the mighty fans who made such a long journey to watch me sing at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville last Thursday. When I first went to listen to music there years ago as a mere tourist, I never imagined I would get to sing there "in the round" one day. It was fun to share that moment with some friends and fans, and my cute mother who also came to watch. And Jeff Pearson, if you're reading this, thanks for inviting me to play. It was a lot of fun. So that's the latest around here.

9.24.02 Greetings everyone! It has been a fun month. The album is finally out in stores, and I'm working on getting all the new pictures and song segments added to this site. Last month I also got to go out to Nashville and sing at the Bluebird Cafe. What a fun place! Now that my voice is back to it's full strength, I'm out singing again. I'd love to see you at one of these upcoming concerts: On Thursday, September 26th, Brett Raymond and I will be playing at the premiere for the new movie, "Charly". That's at 5:30 at Jordan Commons in South Jordan, Utah. Then I'm heading to Vegas to sing at the Green Valley Deseret Bookstore on the evening of October 5th. For all the Utah County folks, I'm playing at the former Provo Library on October 21st. More details to come. Also sometime in October I'm hoping to have a cd release concert, so keep checking back!

8.14.02 Great news!! We are done recording!! Look for my new cd "The Ocean in Me" in stores September 3rd!!!

7.20.02 Hi everyone! It's been kind of a crazy month. You may wonder why you cannot yet find the new album in stores. I had a really nasty cold that developed into some voice problems that lasted over a month. It looks like my voice is finally ready to go again, though, and we're going back into the studio next week. We'll keep you posted on the new release date, but it's looking like it will be out in the middle of next month. There weren't too many live perfomances last month, either, because I needed to rest my voice. I'll keep you posted when some new things come up again. One other fun note: I won four Pearl Awards this year! To read more about it, check out the Meridian Magazine Website, and the Deseret Book Website!

6.1.02 It is so great to be back! I've been touring with Jericho Road and we had a great time. Now I am in deep recording mode in order to get the new album out in July!! Keep checking in for more info in the days to come. For a sneak preview of one of the new songs, check out this article on the Deseret Book Website!

3.10.02 I am going on tour with a group called Jericho Road this May. Go to the Show Dates page for more information.

3.9.02 Just wanted to announce that I have a new album coming out in July called "The Ocean in Me". It's another Deseret Book project. More details coming later.

3.7.02 My new web page is up and running, please let me know how you like it!
